    Does anyone have an update on cell phone/sim card? I heard rumors that ICE is opening things up…Can you now buy a Costa Rica specific (ie with a 506 #) SIM card for an unlocked phone? If we needed a phone with a costa rica # for a 6 month period as of June, any sugggestions? Finally, how is the signal (gsm?) in the Guancaste area? Thanks so much!!

    No, not yet.
    ICE has a pilot project (testing) right now.
    Don’t expect anything to happen soon.

    At least they are moving to right direction.
