Have any of you guys seen a place where they hand make leather boots or shoes ?
Even a place that does orthopedic stuff could probably handle a little project I have.
There’s a street with dozens of them in San Jose …
Going down Paseo Colon towards San Jose turn left at the Mercedes Building and then take the second left and on your left hand side you’ll see lots of little stores where they make hand cowboy made boots.
I’ve been promising myself a pair of good boots for ten years and still haven’t got around to it …

That’s a great little neighborhood of boot and saddle makers, Scott, but it’s not unique. I think there are half a dozen bootmakers in Grecia and I’ll bet most towns of any size can say the same.
There’s a terrific guy in Santa Ana too but I can’t find his information ….
Thanks guys. Looks like a road trip is in order !
I would have thought Liberia would have a few but the folks I have asked just give a blank stare.
Maybe I’ll run there Monday and explore for myself and if not…ROAD TRIP.
I haven’t been to the Central valley in 4 years.
Could be “interesting” LOL
Yes, there are some in Liberia, but you must have missed them! Check around where they do shoe repairs or where there are leather goods hanging outside.
I am sorry to reply late…
