Does anyone know if ther are community swimming pools in various towns in Costa Rica? In particular Grecia, San Ramon, Puriscal, Cartago, Heredia or elsewhere in the Cental Valley area. Thanks Bob
San Ramon has a pool that was built years ago for national competitions. It was donated to the city and is a communal pool.
There is also a smaller, spring fed pool with a water slide in a privately owned park in a very small pueblo named Palmitos, about 20 minutes from San Ramon. I am pretty sure there are others scattered around the area as well.
There is a terrific community pool in Orosi near Cartago that is fed by warm springs. It has small ranchos and two or three different kind of pools. We looked in on our way to the natural hot springs next to the river and it really looked nice! It is about two km from the center of downtown Orosi. And of course it is SO pretty down there!
