Anybody have an attorney that they would recommend.I can not get any replies to my e-mails to various attorneys
January 5, 2008 at 11:34 pm #188825AndrewKeymasterPlease note that this is Costa Rica, this is NOT the USA. Tens of thousands of people still have not returned to work after the Christmas & New Year’s vacation. Many government offices have been closed but will reopen on Monday when it should be business as usual…

Huggo Salizar will answer and talk to you on Saturday, Sunday even today. He uses Yahoo messanger so calls are free. He has experience as a criminal lawyer, an accountant and is well versed in Civil law. He charges you according to the CR Book. And I believe him to be honest. He will ask for a nominal fee to review your case. He will answer all your questions and he doesn’t talk down to us Gringos. One downfall that he overcomes well, he doesn’t speak english well but uses an excellent translator.
Send him an email tell him Stan from Bandera sent you.
His email huggo132000@yahoo.es

and dilligent. Gclegal@ice.co.cr , and have processed through her (2) pieces of

I have had several since moving here back in 1992. Over 10 years ago I was lucky enough to find a family law firm with three brothers, a sister and the father all practicing under the same roof. They now have various associates with expertise in different areas of law. The nice thing about this arrangement is that if you’re not communicating well with one of the brothers, you can ask to speak to their sister or one of the other female associates who may better understand your issues. The majority of them speak several languages and one of the other sisters is a certified translator. Over the years they have referred me to other family members that practice medicine, provide services such as insurance, customs brokering, etc., and I have pleasant experiences with all of their referrals. Their primary office is in San Jose in Barrio Dent and they have opened up an additional office in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, to service all their new clients who live and work in that area.
I’ll recommend to initially speak to Carlos (cel-830-5432) or his sister Alejandra (cel-836-7808) who both speak perfect English and can explain everything you need to know. If you don’t get through to them on their cellular phones you can try the office numbers in San Jose at 280-5478 or in Guanacaste at 670-1165. You can take a look at their website. http://www.bufeteecheverria.comJanuary 18, 2008 at 3:31 pm #188830mysticmaidenMemberI highly recommend a Canadian attorney who has studied here to pass his bar. His name is Richard Philps. He is bilingual, very efficient and responsible. He can be reached at 288 4381. His practice is situated in Santa Ana.
