Scotts latest newsletter provides information that is either laughable or distressing depending on your view.
Quoting: “This week Costa Rica struck a major blow against two organized crime syndicates, one being significantly more dangerous than the other…”
How is it that Costa Rica is able to do what two major nations, Mexico and the U.S., seem incapable of doing despite military and police actions?
While the major concern seems to be illegal aliens the threat from the cartels is far more dangerous and devastating.
Like the Nicas in Costa Rica the illegals have, for decades, provided needed labor that citizens, white and black, feel are too demanding, do not pay enough and/or are beneath their dignity.
In the U.S. they pay taxes and Social Security the same as citizens do but most fear to use assistance programs because of the possibility of being caught and deported.
The demonstration by the cr government of intolerance for these criminal behaviors will carry a lot of wieght. This is good news where ever you live, but those damn americans smoking and snorting up all the illegal drugs in this hemisphere is loco.Yes more people, more drug use.As an outsider looking in,I wonder why the drugs are brought to the costa rican shores for distribution through four more countries and then the us.There has to be a reason?

The area around the States is getting pretty hot for aircraft and boats and Costa Rica may be an easier entry point than other nations because of tourism. Just guessing at the latter.
