Costa Rica’s GDP per capita rose from US$6,488 in 2009 to $8,488 in 2011, the highest in Central America, according to an IMF report cited by Elfinancierocr.com
Panamá is a close second at US$8.420 and Nicaragua is way behind at US$1.201

LOL!!! Pardon the cynicism….but that’s like saying I took 1st place out of 2. Look at the make-up of the rest of Central America and it’s no wonder C.R. is light years ahead of their neighbors.
