A recent article about The Queen’s 80th Birthday mentioned a pub called the Cricketers’ Arms. Was this just a “special” on the grounds of the British Embassy or is this a real pub in San Jose?
Unfortunately it is just a “special”.
With a huge number of American type restaurant franchises in Costa Rica, it is a shame that we don’t have a a typical British pub here somewhere.
I really do miss a good old fashioned British pub but having said that, my alcohol tolerance is now so low that I would be all done with one pint of decent ale…

A pub is just what we’ll have to import if we move from the UK. We can’t imagine transitioning to a life without a pub. It’s more a social network than how Americans view bars. Ah, well….
