Now that the wonderful Rideouts are going back to the US, we need to find a place to board one or two dogs, preferably not too far from Puriscal. Any help would be most appreciated.
There is a Vet in La Garita, Alajuela just past the UCR Fabio Baudrit Ag. Station on the right who has this service for 5,000 colones/day, I think.
Thanks for pointing this kennel out. Scott. Have you actually used them?
Their website is pretty promising. Basically, they offer boarding for a maximum of seven dogs. If yours gets along with the others, then they all spend the day in a one-acre fenced in exercise area.
The daily rates are $15US if they provide the food or $10US if you bring your own.
I have not personally used them David although I did consider it at one time.
Unfortunately my beautiful little dog died while she was at the home of a lady in Alajuela last year – while I was travelling – we don’t know how or why but she had some sort of a seizure and just died.
I do adore animals and have rescued God-only-knows-how-many of them over the years (you should have seen the critters I brought home growing up in West Africa!) but, as in this case, it has often ended very sadly.
