I’m planning to build a small house in Perez Zeledon. I’ve already decided that the best way to get from San Jose to PZ is by Musac bus. I haven’t taken that bus trip yet, however I’ve been up and down via car, truck and minibus and I didn’t enjoy the ride on any of those trips. It seems to me that the ride would be much more enjoyable in one of those comfy Musac seats. It might even be possible to fall asleep for the 3 hour journey.
My question is this: Does Musac have a policiy about taking dogs aboard their buses? My brother has checked with airlines about bringing his lap dog to Costa Rica. Would his little dog be able to ride with him on the bus in a small cage or would it need to be loaded into the baggage compartment? Or does Musac not allow pets on their buses at all? My bro won’t leave his dog in the States so if the dog can’t ride on the bus, I’ll have to rent a car and bring them south myself.

Editer, You need to give them a call to find out if this is a possibility. If I was currently in CR, I would call them for you, but I’m not. Maybe they’ll just make him pay for an extra seat, but I don’t know. As you may know, you can buy tickets in advance, but I don’t think they sell on the weekends–plze ask about that too so your brother doesn’t get stuck. I hope he enjoys his trip to CR!
