Are there any pigeon clubs or groups in Costa Rica? Does anyone know where I can purchase pigeons to raise? I live in the Jaco area. Thanks for your help.
We are talking pets, right? You may have to catch your own. Los Chiles is loaded with pigeons.
Victoria, haven’t you read of the proposed ‘new rules’ regarding keeping/trapping ’wild’ birds?
There was even talk of making it illegal to feed any wild bird or animal including hummingbird feeders…
I understand that many keep homing pigeons in other countries, although whether this is so in Costa Rica, I don’t know, but as an extranjero you need to watch out…
Jeesh – kidding! Although trapping a couple feathered rats might benefit the community…..
