    Hello all:

Was wondering what, if anything, you know about the Emerald Dunes property being developed by C.R. Tropical Properties in the Quepos-Parrita area.
I’ve read with great interest about their Las Palmas project but didn’t come away with a definitive answer on whether this company was the real deal or not.
In my own investigation, for every step I take forward I take another step back.
Their sales pitch tells you that your $60,000 investment will be worth at least double that in 18 months when they’ve completed their infrastructure work. So right off the bat I’m thinking, If it’s sounds too good to be true….
However, I contacted two of their references, Americans who have bought into Las Palmas, and they have nothing but good things to say about the company.
And I’ve also spoken with one of their attorneys, Erica Gomez of San Jose, and she tells me everything has been on the up-and-up to date.
However, thanks to some name droppings on another post here, I’ve discovered that top officials with the company have, shall we say, rather checkered pasts. Something about a cappucino company that appeared to operate in a rather shady fashion.
I also contacted a Century 21 agent in Quepos who had never heard of the development and suggested I’d be wise to stay away. She used the phrase real-estate pyramid scheme.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated as I’m just a middle-class, hard-working Canuck who doesn’t have this much money to throw away on a gamble.
    Thanks all.

    Hi,
I read your post and have all the same questions you do. I am not comfortable sending down the $25,000.00 site unscene. I also contacted a Quepos realtor and he told me he had never heard of them either but to stay away. Have you found out anything more since your posting?
    Thanks
