I would like to hear from people who know of other areas of Costa Rica that have Episcopal parish beside San Jose. I visited the downtown parish in 1993 but can’t remember the church’s name. Any idea where I can find a list of Episcopal parishes in CR?
Thanks,
Tom in Portland

I can only offer you a little advice on finding the information you want. Check with your church organizations main headquarters. They usually have information on an missionary outreach program that has been developed.
Not to long ago the Catholic faith was the only church and today it is the only church legally recognized in Costa Rica. Try your denomination headquarters for infomration. Almost every faith has worlwide ties.

My family is moving to Costa Rica within a few months & are members in the USA of a Lutheran church. While there are many Catholic ones there, I have not seen any signs of one of a Lutheran denomination. As a an alternative myself & two children (ages 11 & 14) would attend a non-demoninational church. Any one know of any Lutheran or good non-denominational churches in the Central Valley area? Thanks.November 27, 2006 at 10:59 pm #180072GringoTicoMemberHere’s the Costa Rican Lutheran Church website:

Also, the print edition of the Tico Times has listings of religious services and community happenings.
