By reading this website for several years, I knew that dentistry in Costa Rica is a professional service, for a very fair price. I had the good luck to walk in off the street in San Isidro de El General (aka Perez Zeledon),to meet a charming and competent doctora. Dra Maria Gomez Rodriguez. Tel 771-3620. She is located in the “shopping center” adjacent to the Hotel Chirripo, across from the internet cafe and next to the video store. The Hotel Chirripo is on the main square.
I had a root canal, a pin implant, a crown, 2 fillings, and a cleaning for $350.00. I could not have had more caring, professional work. I had an infection when I arrived, Dra Maria treated it before any other work was performed. I feel confident that my crown is here to stay, that I will not have any problems with it.
Dra Maria speaks passable english. I am sure you will satisfied with her professionalism.
San Isidro is somewhat off the beaten path for most tourists, but if you are in need of dentistry while in this area, I feel you can fully rely on Dra Maria and her staff.
