Flights / Vacations From SJO to Central America

Can anyone recommend a good travel agent or website for tourists looking to book cheap flights out of San Jose?

I’m looking for cheap(ish) deals for people who need to leave to renew a tourist visa and also for those who want to explore other parts of Central America.

I started with a google search for flights to belize, but I have a feeling there must be better resources than the ones I found.

Check TACA.Com… they fly throughout Central America and beyond… great airline… and if you shop their website on a regular basis you can come up with some killer deals!

I have found that flights from SJO to CA and SA are really pricey! I have occasionally checked all the various sites and am always surprised at the high fares.

I’ve found the best fares via kayak.com. I agree, TACA is a good airline. Usually, I find airfares to Guatemala City for only $200 and if you need a hotel there, the Hotel Princess in a safe part of the city is outstanding and reasonably priced.

I still think there is an opportunity for a local travel agent to capitalize on the many tourists here who want to explore Panama or Nicaragua and beyond, or need to leave for their visa renewals. On Radio Dos I heard a new ad for a travel agent that hit on these points, but their website doesn’t follow through with the info on these types of packages.
