We are planning to move to Costa Rica from Canada. We have 2 children ages 4 & 7. A Costa Rican friend who now lives here in Canada told us that all children, up to 18 years of age, get free health care in Costa Rica whether they are residents or not. We want to confirm whether this is true or not, because it would be great if it is.
It is true. I have a friend, who is not a resident yet (in process) and takes her son to EBAIS (spelling?) clinic for vaccines and check ups. There is no cost involved.
