Hello, my partner and I recently purchased a home in Alajeula, we’re planning a two week trip in August to furnish it. Any thoughts or ideas as to the best way to obtain new or used furniture and the best areas to shop would be helpful.
Steve
You should have a look in Sarchi, more or less the furniture building capital of Costa rica. For high end modern furniture there are many stores in Escazu.
There is also La Artistica in Pavas, about half a mile to the “in town” (Sabana Park) side of the American Embassy. Mario Viota speaks pretty good English. La Artistica is also a Maytag appliance dealer.
THANK YOU
There’s an article about Sarchi furniture at:
I am thrilled with the quality and the prices paid for my new fitted kitchen, the living room couch, chairs and table that I bought from Carlos
