Scott, I commend you on your article on setting goals in writing. It’s a crucial strategy that seems superfluous to many, but using it relieves the mind and gives immediate reference to progress. That being said, let me introduce you to a (free!) tool that takes planning and goal setting to a whole new level… mind mapping! Go to http://www.mindmeister.com, sign up for the free basic service, take the brief demo tutorial, and you’re on your way. We use this in my marketing business to organize projects, assign division of labor and keep track of progress. Because it’s an internet based application, I can be resting at a B&B in CR, coffee and laptop close at hand, adorned in a Skype headset, having a realtime meeting with my people back home! The mind maps you create are editable in realtime by as many participants as you invite to a session. Freedom! Fred (Disclosure time: I have no financial interest in this application, but I sure wish I did!)
