Visiting Costa Rica early July for property search. Will be renting car from San Jose. Can anyone comment whether GPS maps are available and how useful? Some rental companies advertising these units as options, appreciate recommended car rental companies also. Also understand Scott publishes a useful map.
Thanks—-Pebo
I was in C.R. this past Decenber as well as last week. Both occasions I paid the extra $8 or $10 a day for a GPS unit and they worked great. They really come in very helpful when you’re trying to navigate your way in or out of San Jose. FYI–I used Dollar Rent a Car and they pre-set everything for me (my destinations etc.) and it worked like a breeze.
Thank you, as it turns out I booked with Dollar—-so that’s a vote of confidence with them I have a TomTom I use in Canada but don’t think there are any maps for it.
