I really enjoy reading these pieces and the land looks amazing!
Thanks Lotus
Lotus is referring to our new article: Building A New Log Styled Vacation Home in the Mountains – II which you can see at: [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/members/2037.cfm ]
We’ll try and cover the very basics of what we’re doing and include lots of photographs of course. The general idea is to show people that you do not have to spend a fortune to find land and build a very comfortable vacation or retirement home in Costa Rica.
You can see the first home we built at [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/public/1635.cfm ] which was 151.85M2 (1,634 square feet) Cypress log styled home which was completed in May 2006 on 4,297 square meters of land (46,240 square feet). The total cost of this fully furnished, very comfortable home including all appliances and the land was under $90K
I appreciate that this styled home is not for every one but my lady and I love the cozy, natural feeling of a wood home.

Grano de Oro is a very fine hotel and their ‘Pie Grano de Oro’ is delicious.
Please remember that I may have built a couple of homes but I am no construction expert by any stretch of the imagination.
