I live near Grande. There are actually a lot of options. Besides Country Day, there is La Paz Community School, Blue Ocean Academia Bilingue, Educarte and The Homeschool Academy. La Paz and Country Day are the only ones with High School (I believe). My son is in pre-school and goes to Blue Ocean. Not sure how old your kids are, but I have friends with kids that go to La Paz and I personally know a few of their teachers. I think you’ll be surprised and impressed with all the options available in the area.

Here is the link to a previous post on this forum, that provides a lot of important info on private schools in Costa Rica,
Cost are quite high, everywhere…
I, for one, recommend finding a school first before committing to a specific area or home.

I pay $190 per month (includes 3 uniforms per year) and if I choose the “meal plan”, its an extra $80, but I send snack and lunch. Knowing what my friends pay in the U.S. for daycare, I think this is cheap for a pre-school where he is in class with only a handful of kids. They even have swimming lessons on Wednesdays. The grade schoolers pay slightly more, but still very cheap compared to private school in the U.S. There was an article written about the school on this site at [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/members/Schools_In_Costa_Rica__Blue_Ocean_Bilingual_Academy.cfm ]. You may be able to find it by searching Blue Ocean.

For pre-school the rate is very good.
Here is another link that may help but it is outdated
