Home › Forums › Costa Rica Living Forum › Howvestita” to otain a residency as investor under new rules?
Hello, everybody
Just wanted to hear if anybody has any knowledge/info about how to get a residency as an “investor” under new Law. Is it a temporary, if it is for 3 or 5yr? How to convert it to permanent?
As of yet, have no information under the ‘new rules’ but under the old/present rules, is was nearly impossible to get this.
One has to purchase property or business prior to applying and then one must present plans, financial and supply information how many locals would be employed. Lots of red tape.
In most instances, residency will be granted for only for one person, not a spouse or family so other family members had to apply independently.
The government is really looking for very large investors for this category.
