    Hi.
I’m considering buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee this week in Heredia.
Its used so therefore I need a reliable mechanic to check it over first. Also it would help if anyone knows of a lawyer there who could handle the transfer documents and check the car history.
By the way what should I be paying for these sevices?
I would really appreciate any help the members could offer.
    Thanks kindly.

Try Mauricio – the ‘best car mechanic in Costa Rica’ who has his shop up in Heredia somewhere. Mauricio Artavia 8849-7244, 8386-8669, 2236-9348 He does NOT speak English very well but I believe his wife does.

He is located ‘somewhere’ in Heredia but I don’t know where because he always comes here to Santa Ana, picks up my car (Toyota), takes it away does the RTV or whatever service or repairs and brings it back in the afternoon.

The car is always immaculately clean when he brings it back too…

Thanks Scott, I cetainly appreciate your rapid response. I’ll tell him you recommended him. Would you possibly be able to put me on to a lawyer for the transaction or would almost any be able to complete the check of current owners?
I hope I’m not asking for too much.
Thanks again, this is sure a great site you have.

Please look on the left hand side for Lawyers & Law [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/public/department41.cfm ] and Costa Rica Title Search [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/public/department46.cfm ]

Hiring Jose or Roger as your attorney should keep you out of trouble…

You may want to consider a make that is more common in Costa Rica as well. Toyota, Nissan or Hyundai…

Thanks for the imput…I know servicing and parts availibility can become problematic and living in Turrialba there are not really any Jeep experts…I’ll kick a few more tires till I decide.
    Thanks
