Does anyone know the address of the immigration office in Alajuela. I need to extend a family members visa 90 days. I need to get to this office from the airport. I am meeting my mother-in-law at the office. Directions and address would be great. Will the taxis be familiar with this office?
The Costa Rica immigration department website is at [ http://www.migracion.go.cr/ ]
Every cab driver (ask for migración – pronounced MEE-GRASS-EEOWN) will know where it is and it should take you about 20 minutes to get there from the airport depending on the traffic.
Do you know your way around migración? And speak Spanish?
