Home › Forums › Costa Rica Living Forum › Imperial Beer Being Distributed in the US
I live in a small town in the foothills of Northern California, USA. Image the surprise on my face when I went to get some beer from a local ‘mom and pop’ liquor store and they had Imperial by the six pack! Being the CostaRicaholic I am I bought all they had. 3 six packs.
I just thought this was interesting and it shows how rapidly Costa Rica is growing.
I prefer Pilsen myself, but was the taste the same as in Costa Rica?
We had Imperial for a while here in upstate NY, but it seems it did not do well, and I have not seen it for almost a year. It tasted the same as in CR. Hopefully it returns.
It tasted the same to me. Even though it was raining and 40 degrees Fahrenheit at my house , when I took that first sip my mind took me back to a warm beach… It was worth every penny.
It must be getting popular in N.Cali…I too have it here in my small town in the Sierra foothills….went to a house warming a coupla’ weeks back, and it was on their serving table…..along with some Ron Centurio….(spelling?)
My husband a Tico born in San Francisco, loves Imperial as well. After a discussion about it on a another website, I found out that Bev Mo sells it by the six pack and by the case. As soon as I found out, I went to the website and sure enough they sell it, and they have a function where you can find out how much they have in your local store as well. I bought it online at Bev Mo and picked it up about 1 hour later.
Just info. for anyone who is interested, hope it helps!!!
