I recently saw the new beer bottle from Imperial. It is glass or certainly appears to be, however it is DISPOSABLE in other words MORE GARBAGE. Personally I will boycott this product and keep buying the returnable glass bottle, much better for the environment and more economical. I urge others to do the same. Costa Rica cannot even manage the garbage we have let alone a new influx.

A month or so ago, I was buying the Bavaria 1460 beer which was a ‘special edition’ and they were taking the bottles back and then when the special offer ended, AutoMercado stopped taking the bottles back – I flipped in the store and explained to the assistant manager what a crock this was but did not get very far…

WeLoveCostaRica.comIt seems Auto Mercado has slipped a lot lately…there are no more sale items, promotional items mysteriously run out unless you really push them. Megasuper on the other hand has prices on average 20% less…I’ve switched.
Wal-Mart controls some 9,000 jobs in Costa Rica through its MasXMenos, Pali, Maxibodega supermarkets and the Hipermas mega stores.
