    My sister lives in Virginia and is wanting to move to Belize or CR.
    She knows that we are contemplating CR in the near future. I don’t know anything about Belize to convince her not to choose it over CR.
    Help me out with any info you can, please.

    One topic to discuss: “Hurricane Season” This is to be a record year everywhere in the belt.

    Mainly, Costa Rica catches the fringe of rain.

    Electricity isn’t dependable in Belize and since the pumps that get water to your home depend on electricity the water supply isn’t dependable either. Many people attempt to catch water from the roof as it runs off during the rain and store it so they have water when they need water.

    Belize is 20 years behind CR and from what I hear more expensive than CR.

    Some people like the 20 year difference, but few like the cost of living in Belize.

    Last year my brother was in Belize on vacation while the hurricane went through… CR got some rain. He spent 2 times what he would have spent for the same vacation in CR. Next year he’s going to take my advice and go to CR instead.
