We have owned our home here for 9 years. We have electricity through ICE, but no phone since we use our phone plan from the US when we are here @ 5 months of the year. We have a long tern renter who would like internet. We have been told by ICE that we must have residency in order to have this service. The operator said this policy has been in effect since September, which also includes other utilities such as electricity. Is it no longer possible to use one’s S.A. in order to connect to utilities?
I have never heard of this. Now I am trying to remember when we got our electricity connected. I am pretty sure it was last September. We are not residents yet. We didn’t get our internet until October, and the same can be said of our TV hookup, although that wasn’t through ICE.
