Nice job Scott on Country Club acres in Santa. It truely amazes me why people keep asking on this site “What to buy?”, “Is this developer good?” When you give people your advice of 16 years for free. Before this it was those $sq meter lots for $28K. Any idea how much those are now? Tell you what. Don’t waist your time with this website. Put out a private newsletter at $5000.00 a year and I will be the first to subscribe.
    Good Job Scott

Ha! Thanks for your feedback Stan and yes! This idea has been suggested to me previously by one of my investment clients and is something we’ve been evaluating so while I have your attention, please allow me to ask your opinion.

I was thinking of offering a ‘premium’ type service for VIP **Gold** Members (??) on the site for a monthly fee of say $149 where this expert, insider information about the most promising ‘pre-construction’ type projects would be released to them BEFORE published the information on the site for free.

After our VIP Gold Members have been given a specific period of time to evaluate our recommended developer’s new project and express their interest, only then would I release this ‘Buy’ recommendation to the rest of our 7,000+ readers.

We may only be able to feature 4-6 of these a year but my client said to me that the prospect of making an extra $100K per year is worth a monthly fee that would only add up to $1,788 per year.

    What do you think?

What is the area of Santa Ana like? Is the town pretty developed?

You can see more about Santa Ana here at which inlcudes a video and a link to the municipality website where you’ll find a lot more data.

It is growing rapidly but has so far managed to maintain the small town feel…

No,no, no….. no monthly fee for this kind of “jokes”. Why ? (A) The Country Club raised the prices mainly at the end of the sales. So now they are doing every buyer a big pleasure by telling them that the prices have raised. Maybe they would have had more problems if there salesmen had to sell the condos with these higher prices. (B) If these current prices are real market prices the experienced developer did a very bad marketing-job, he could have earned a lot more. (C) Very easy to tell that somebody makes “a truly 107% profit” if he hasn’t paid in full, a (very) little bit childish.
    Don’t take this too serious……

I was sold on Grecia until I saw the link to Santa Ana and I am now leaning on Santa Ana. It has the small town feeling I am looking for. Thanks Scott.

I love the Grecia area and you should certainly investigate both areas ‘rockville’

Grecia is a larger town than Santa Ana but Santa Ana is practically next door to Escazu and only fifteen minutes form San Jose so there are plenty of people nearby which is a plus for some, and a negative for others. We’ve found that many people prefer Santa Ana over so many other areas because they don’t need a car, getting around by bus is really easy (and cheap) from Santa Ana.

However, because of this ‘convenience’, comparable real estate in Santa Ana will be more expensive than Grecia.

If you can speak a little Spanish, you can see the Municipalidad de Grecia website at and the Santa munipality site at
