Is it best to shop for furniture in San José?

Living in the Potrero area. Is it worth going to San Jose for items like outdoor furniture, gas grill, and general household furniture?

We will be renting and do not want to spend a lot of money on these items.

In my opinion, yes, it will be worthwhile as selection and prices are [i]usually[/i] better …but then you have to transport them home.
Have you checked out what is actually available in this area?
