Last week my brother hired a car to drive him and my mom down to San Isidro from Alejuela. Normally we take the Musoc bus, but this time they hired a car to drive them along the Pacific Coast just for a change. Well there was an accident and the trip took twice as long as it should have. Now we are wondering if it might be easier to fly down to Panama and take a bus up to San Isidro from there. Already I can see more problems getting through Customs and Immigration going this route.
Has anyone tried doing this? Are there advantages or pitfalls that I should consider? I’d appreciate any input.
Frank
You can fly to Quepos on Nature Air out of Pavas airport in San Jose. I believe the closest you can get to CR in Panama with regular commercial service is David and that would likely be via Panama City.
You can also fly to Palmar Sur, which is about a 1.5 hour drive from San Isidro de General I don’t know how long it takes to drive there from Quepos.
