Do not, I repeat do not build in Costa Rica without using the services of a North American qualified administrator or building inspector. You will, I repeat you will, be scammed from beginning to end, regardless of where you build in Costa Rica. You need someone, that is not an indigenous person to Costa Rica to manage your project.
Good luck on your project.
I don’t know if I would agree with that altogether, there are plenty of gringos scamming each other in CR. Oh yeah up here as well…
Am going to be staying at the Posada in Dec, while looking for a home. Do you have any recommendations?
The Posada in San Ramon? What kind of home are you looking for? I know someone who is specializing in very nice Tico homes that are reasonably priced in the San Ramon area.
I have been in touch with 3 people via the web. Am looking for 1 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Would be interested in seeing a house in town – or – very close. Gracias.
