Does anyone have any information about the Jardines de Ensuenos
development to be built across from the Hotel Tangeri?May 9, 2006 at 5:34 pm #176422bigpinekeyMemberWhat information are you looking for? In December I went down to Jaco and after meeting Trevor became an investor in the project.
May 9, 2006 at 6:51 pm #176423dh6721MemberWe are meeting Trevor on May 29th. to look at the property.
I was just trying to get in touch with someone else who
might be an investor and would know more about the property than
I can find on the web page. I have read the entire web page.
What made you decide to invest? Do you believe the predictions
of investment return? etc.
Are you from Big Pine Key in the Keys?
I lived on Plantation Key in Islamorada for 2 years.
Thanks for the reply. DHMay 9, 2006 at 7:30 pm #176424bigpinekeyMemberI believe after you spend the day with Trevor you will see why I chose this project to invest in. He is fully commited to making this project work. As far as the investment return, I believe it is possible because he will be offering a 5 star service at a rental rate that is very affordable.Yes, I am in Big Pine Key of the keys. Where did you move to?
May 9, 2006 at 7:44 pm #176425dh6721MemberMy wife and I are from Rome, Georgia. I am an Emergency Physician
and previously owned the Group contract at one of the Hospitals
in Rome. I sold the contract to a large company that runs ER’s
all across the country and retired in 1998. Unfortunately,
9/11 ate about half my retirement, so I went back to work in
2003 part time. While I was retired, I bought a condo in
Coral Harbour Club on Plantation Key and we moved there full time.
We presently live on Lake Weiss, a large lake just across the State
line in Alabama, about 25 minutes from Rome.
I own two Urgent Cares, in Calhoun, Georgia and Adairsville, Georgia
and I work about 12 days per month.
I would like to retire again and move to Costa Rica.
I’ve read volumes about it on the internet and several books.
We visited in February and will go down again the end of the month.
My condo in the Keys has tripled in price since I sold it in 2003.
Otherwise, I would go back there in a heart beat.
DHMay 9, 2006 at 8:16 pm #176426bigpinekeyMemberPlantation Key is a hot area right now, there are condos going up everywhere. There are alot of changes going on here also. I own a Nurse registy here in Big Pine and my husband is a manager for Cemex in Marathon. My daughter graduates from Key West High in 2 weeks and we are looking to retire there also.
May 10, 2006 at 1:36 pm #176427dh6721MemberI have read that Jaco condos and hotels are empty 50% of the
time and that it may be unrealistic to believe that a condo
will pay for itself. What are your feelings about this?
I have read that there are several hundred more rooms that will
be available in the next year or two. How do you think this
will impact Jardines de Ensuenos?
Do you plan on living at Jardines de Ensuenos after the 6 years
or somewhere else?
It seems to me that people want a beachside condo more than one
that is a 5 minute walk away from the beach. What are your thoughts?
I’m surprised that there are new condos going up on Plantation Key.
I thought it was next to impossible to get a building permit.
DHMay 10, 2006 at 2:57 pm #176428bigpinekeyMemberI believe that the location and services of Jardines de Ensuenos will make it a desirable location for tourists. Although it is not on the ocean, it is a one minute walk to the main road in the center of town, which is 1 block from the ocean. You are probably correct in the fact that people will prefer a ocean front unit, but for what those people are paying for them, several hundred thousand to a million dollars, I don’t see how those could possibly pay for themselves. Trevor is targeting a certain market, in sales and rentals. I know at least 20 people here in the keys that have been or are planing on going to Costa Rica, and the majority go to Jaco, which is said to be like what Key West was 30 years ago.I am not sure about living there, I do plan on purchasing a house down there in the next year, right now this is strictly an investment for us. I also like the fact that Trevor is not stopping here, he plans to contnue developing in other areas. What is happening here in the keys, is that the motels and hotels , and trailer parks are being bought by big developers and torn down and they are building one million dollar plus oceanfront condos.
May 10, 2006 at 6:32 pm #176429dh6721MemberThanks for your reply. I know first hand about the Keys.
I sold my condo for 675,000. in 2003 and thought I did well.
It is now on the market for 1.6 million.
(nauseating)
So far, from all I’ve read, Jardines de Ensuenos sounds like
the best investment for the least money that I’ve come across.
We are really looking forward to going down and talking with
Trevor and looking at the place.
Have you heard of One Jaco?
