This new co-op down by Ojohal (So. Of Dominical) seems to have some unique benefits – partially self sustaining, eco friendly approach and reasonable cost. Has anyone visited the site or know anything good or bad about it?
Google it to find the web site
March 15, 2010 at 2:03 am #166199tiffenMemberYes, it was posted and deleted but not by Scott as I emailed him about it. I am interested in finding out more about this place, not promoting it. It seems to be a very unique approach that I have not seen in other developments. Therefore I think it has merit on this site and ask for opinions or better yet, first hand information…
Thanks
March 15, 2010 at 2:32 am #166200speedo5MemberThanks – That’s fine with me. I just commented that the fellow promoting it has the same last name,{Gale} as the infamous “William Gale” of Paragon Properties fame. Any relation? Just an observation.
March 15, 2010 at 3:41 am #166201tiffenMemberAfter looking at Paragon prop web site I certainly hope not. Thanks for the observation and I will dig a little deeper to find out if there is any connection…
March 15, 2010 at 10:45 pm #166202RonnyMemberI took a drive there today. There’s an office on the costanera a few miles before you get to Palmar. I don’t have any interest as I’m already established in Ojochal but wanted to check it out.
I would recommend that you phone before going, to get a proper tour. I didn’t and just ended up driving back down the hill after stopping at the zipline.. You can get on their mailing list and they will answer any questions by e-mail.
They’re just getting started so hard to comment. I would recommend a 4×4 with good brakes and tires as it’s quite a steep grade to get there.
I was told that they’ll drive you up from the office if you call ahead.
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.March 16, 2010 at 2:44 pm #166203tiffenMemberGood info, thanks ronny

Very simple. Jim Gale is no relation to the other Gale at Paragon. Simple google it and you will find four pages of info. Construction started April 18th. Pretty cool place actually.
April 30, 2010 at 1:50 pm #166205doverturfMemberI have been to the site and taken a tour and have decided to buy a villa in the project. The views are breathtaking and the concept for the community is unique to say the least. They have planted over 2,000 fruit trees and have plans for many more plus a vertical vegetable greenhouse that will provide food for the whole community for only $150 month dues. The property sits between 1400 – 3000 feet in elevation and they recently received all their permits from SETENA and have started building the roads for the community on the property. I plan on moving there at years end and starting a business there. I own two other properties in Costa Rica and this is by far the most exciting project I have ever seen in CR after 10 visits and extensive searching.
