Can anyone tell me what 1.808m2 means in land size? I was looking at the houses in Atenas for 185,00 etc. Does anybody know about them? It is a gated community. outside of San Jose. Atenas Real estate and Development Co.
That site, and perhaps others, seems to use a decimal in place of a comma. That is 1,808 square meters, or just a bit small than half an acre. 4,000 square meters is approximately 1 acre; 2,000m2 is half an acre, and so on.
Best,
Jim
That’s the way numbers are expressed in Costa Rica. The commas and periods are reversed. What we would write as $1,825.42 would be written in Costa Rica as $1.825,42.
And, of course, m2 means square meters.
