My husband & I are looking to purchase land around Cahuita. Does anyone that lives in this area have any information on living there day to day? How often does it really rain? The weather report says “possible showers” every day, however when we were there we had beautiful sunny weather almost every day.
How are the schools for the kids? How about safety? Are there areas to avoid? How about the economy for the locals? How is the cruise ship tourism from Limon affecting the area? Local activities?
Thank you all for your help.
We purchased a few acres of ocean front, about halfway to Cahuita from Limon. Its a great location as it is close to all your shopping needs in Limon (12 miles), yet is a very quite, clean rural area. Its an area that somehow kind of got passed over, though it is starting to get some attention now. The prices of beach front and view land are still way underpriced in my opinion for this area. We found it much better out away from the villages, where a certain amount of undesirables always exist.
