Definitely, a nice place to visit, but unless you are ‘fleet of foot’ this place is not for you!
Actually getting down to the water is via a very unstable and relatively steep, rocky path so anyone who has any mobility issues or doesn’t like walking on uneven ground, should avoid it.
Otherwise,t is a lovely shady spot to relax.

December 5, 2012 at 6:39 pm #167413purloveMemberI have visited the falls many times. Yes, it can be a bit slippery to get down there, but part of the small path has things to hold on to.
During the dry season, it should be fine. I have been during the wet season and we got to see three waterfalls, the main one and two others.
I had never seen so much water and the whole beach area was covered with water as well. Absolutely beautiful, but a little tricky getting down there.
If you are capable, it is worth the trip, definitely!!
The path is very short, a bit steep, but I have seen many elder people there as well, so doable.

There is no handrail and the ‘things to hold onto’ is either a shrub, weed or a rock.
I am not complaining about this lovely spot, only relaying information, that it is not suitable for everyone.
If you are driving along and trying to find it, look for this sign ’Catarata Llanos del Cortés'December 7, 2012 at 8:45 am #167415Rob GoodellParticipant
We live approx a 15 mins drive away from this waterfall, and it is well known by the locals, that care, must be taken, if you choose to go.

She had a horrible accident years ago which required 50 surgeries and now has two prosthetic knees.
