What’s going on??? I know no place is perfect, but I am now in Central Illinois, USA which is having unseasonably warm temps in the 60’s F. My family is planning a move to CR within a few months. IS SOMEONE TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING???
I believe the malaria is confined to an area on the Caribbean, the cold front was a surprise for sure, shootings are never a surprise anywhere and as for earthquakes… According to La Nacion, we have over 1,000+ small earthquakes every year in Costa Rica.

It’s just hard for me to imagine such things since, as you are probably well aware, things are just so perfect here in the USA (no unseasonal weather, no crime, no lack of good healthcare, no hunger, no unreasonable, stubborn, power-hungry president…..oops..mybad) 🙂
I was thinking about last night deb at 1225am as a three minute earthquake rattled the windows of my apartment in Escazu and the vibrations woke me up.
I’m in the fourth floor penthouse so tend to feel them more than some people. Nothing was damaged except the fact that it took me hours to get back to sleep..

And to add insult to injury, my husband is leaving for Costa Rica Friday to look at homes, areas, etc from Dec 1 thru Jan 11!!!! That Dog!!! Hey….what do you know about Atenas? That is an area we are particularly interested in.
