Would it be safe to grow a personal stash of marijuana on ones property. Just a few trees should do. How is the MJ looked at in CR? Just a recreational user here.

So… is it worth it?November 4, 2010 at 3:08 pm #159382grb1063MemberEven California, the most liberal state in the nation, who actually voted for Jerry Brown 30 years later (most of who voted for him were probably not there 30 years ago) defeated legalization of recreational use of marijuana on Tuesday.
November 4, 2010 at 8:00 pm #159383gzeniouMembermy understanding is that the police look the other way as far as Pot.
Health wise: it would be much better if pot was legal and cigaretts were illegal. No cancer from Pot, actually no proven ill effects when used in moderation, can’t say that about tobacco. For you Asthma sufferers that smoke, Pot is actually a mild bronchial dilator, your asthma would be much better then tobacco use and it could actually improve it (hey another medical use). It should be legalized but then all those private contractors for prisons would go out of business and we can’t have that.

Hemp has a million uses and it’s a shame that it takes such a bad rap.

I have reason to believe that smoking pot does affect the young before they learn a sense of responsibility but I have to agree with the viseo.
November 5, 2010 at 1:52 pm #159387grb1063MemberThe irony of the whole issue is that marijuana is the largest cash crop in many states, even states with a huge agricultural base. The taxation source would have to be extremely tempting for many near-bankrupt state governments. In the US it is treated as a criminal issue, where in Europe it is treated as a health issue and as a result there are no greater numbers of users per capita, but the associated violence borne by obscene profits is largely removed. The number of people in the corrections system as a result of the “war on drugs” is what is obscene at 18% of the total prison population with no real impact on the overall flow of drugs.

If you have a medical marijuana card in California which everybody does you are allowed to grow a small amount for personal use. The reason the legalization did not pass is because everyone is already smoking legally.

Then there are those of us who left California before medical marijuana was legal.
My wife suffers fron Fibromyalgia and Diabetes with Neuropathy. Her doctor recommended Marijuana before it was legal.November 6, 2010 at 2:37 am #159390boginoParticipant
Even California, the most liberal state in the nation, who actually voted for Jerry Brown 30 years later (most of who voted for him were probably not there 30 years ago) defeated legalization of recreational use of marijuana on Tuesday.
