Did you see this?
“With little fanfare on July 13, Florida officials released the findings of a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) study conducted recently in the Key West area revealing that about 10 percent, or 1,000 people, of the coastal town’s population are infected with the dengue fever virus.”

Does anyone know how prevalent dengue is in Costa Rica? And where it is mainly?
I got Dengue in 2008.I was house sitting 2 places.
It was in the Jaco/Hermossa area.
it’s painful, they told me that it was spread by the female mosquito.they gave me some meds, after taking blood and diagnosing it.
I thought I’d just eaten something bad,or got a waterborne bug.
about 5-6 days in I went to the farmacia.my “plaquttes” were way down.they told me to not be so stupid next time and wait that long.
I got better, then it apparently doubled back and I had to go again for another blood test.
they then told me that they were having thoughts it was some weird strain.
A few people died in the Parrita area, which is just down south.
