I’ll be moving to C.R. in late February or early March. I know all about the people who move 20′ and 40′ containers. But we may decide to leave all our furniture with our home in Florida. So, what I need to know about is companies that deal with 100 cubic feet or so.
Is there any way to hook up with others who do not have a complete container load and consolidate with them in Miami or something?
Any of your local “mainline” moving companies (North American, Mayflower, Wheaton, Bekins) can arrange this for you. They will crate your stuff in a wooden crate, haul it someplace and consolidate it with the consignments of other people whose stuff is bound for Costa Rica.
It may take a while for them to generate a container load, so don’t count on your stuff getting here quickly. And on a “per pound” or “per cubic foot” basis, this won’t be cheap.
