Hello i am a recent college grad from the usa and i am looking with my best friends to move to costa rica in december of this year, i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where would be a good place for us to look into living and any suggestions for jobs for two artist who also have skills in child care, camps, serving, and bartending. Any suggestions would be great, we were looking into tamarindo for a city, if anyone has any insight or opinions on the quality of life and general tips on renting and living there it would be greatly appreciated. thanks and have a great day!
You are not able to come to Costa Rica and work as a foreigner. You are able to visit CR as a tourist for 90 days at a time. You can apply for residency under several different criteria, but even then you can typically not work a job here in Costa Rica. You obviously need to do a lot more research before considering doing what you are talking about.
we have been doing alot of research, hence also writing this post to find out more info. We have a company we started in the usa that is more internet based so we would be able to support ourselves with out having to work in CR. We would like to move the on a temporary 3 month “visit” and possible stay longer if really like it. Thanks for your help though, we were wondering more along the lines that what are some of the more populated towns along the coast with things such as internet acess?
You may want to consider the areas around Jaco or perhaps Manuel Antonio. Jaco has a lot of young people, Tico and other and is very convenient to San Jose.
