at or near SJO for helping to bring my dog in through Customs on September 11. I understand from United PetSafe in Houston, this is an absolute requirement now days. Anyone done this in the past 30 or 45 days?

Is the dog coming in as ‘cargo’ and is it traveling, unaccompanied? If so, you do require a broker.
If you are bringing it in with you, try another airline.
I highly recommend worldpettravel.com. Angela is great and while she moves dogs all across the world she has an office in costa Rica and in the states and she did a fantastic job getting our young 95 pound dog and 13 year old dog to San Jose for us. Draco was too big for a commercial airline so they came separately but arrived a few hours after we did. She got the through customs and agriculture after hours and delivered them to our hotel which was the Adventure Inn very close to the airport. Tell her Jamie Haworth recommended her. I wouldn’t use anyone else.
