New Septic Tank/Drain Field Inspections

Does anyone know the procedure for determining if a property is acceptable for septic tank and drain field on prior to buying that property? We are planning to purchase land around the Santiago de Puriscal area before the end of August, 2007.

You need to do a perk test to determine how fast water drains through the soil. A local contractor should be able to do this for you…not sure what the drain rate needs to be in C.R.
