Okay Scott, I see by your comment in the forum concerning William Gale that you are probably a Republican (I don’t have a problem being associated with people like Senator Bob Dole but, I am not comfortable in the same company as Senator Hillary Clinton). Now, I am a Democrat and I have trouble understanding why Republicans are so down on Hillary. Much of the right wing animus seems to stem from the fact that she didn’t divorce Bill after the Monica debacle.
I was one year ahead of Hillary in high school and although I did not know her personally, I knew she was a hard-working, honest, and intelligent individual. She exhibits these same qualities now as she serves her constituents in New York. They seem to be happy with her.
However I’m not writing to start a political discussion&quite the contrary. I think that if you were to poll members, you’d probably find that many of us are Democrats. I, for one, am sick of the polarization that has taken root in the States. In fact American politics is one reason that I am looking into moving to Costa Rica.
It was very discouraging to read your comment. I’m asking that everyone refrain from making any further politically biased remarks. You might start a forum that makes the William Gale discussion seem like pleasant banter.
So let’s all please agree that on this web site, we won’t talk politics.
Agreed! MANY people are considering a new life in Costa Rica because of what they see going on ‘back home.’
Just for the record, I am British so my American political views are powerless anyway, much like the rest of the citizens there… 🙂
