    Hello
I’m applying for residency and have run into a snag.
I’ve made a few calls to the local police department in my city(in Canada), asking if they have a notary to sign the necessary conduct form for pensionado status.
Unfortunately, they don’t have one and had never heard of anyone asking for a notary when having a criminal record search application, which I found odd. I’ve read other forums about this matter, and most replies have been that a notary is available at the police stations. These were replies from US citizens however, so my question is toward other Canucksters.
Has anyone else run into this problem, and how did you end up solving this issue?
I’d rather not bring a notary with me to the police station if not necessary, and wonder if the document can be notarized afterward.
Also,is the document to be notarized at the time of application, or when it’s been completed a month or so later? Seems like a silly question, but I’m really not sure how to move forward with this part of the application.
    Thanks

I remember hiring a mobile notary to meet me at the police station to notarize the signature of the officer as he signed the letter.

I highly endorse ARCR. They probably process more residencies than anyone else, they know what is happening every day at immigration, their fees are reasonable and they handle everything. I just received my permanent residency after four years of residency and I’m very happy with them.

Thank you for the quick replies. I will certainly look into using CasaCanada’s services to make this process much simpler.
