Has anyone had any experience with this new rule?
Thanks
As far as I am aware, this ‘rule’ was proposed to allow someone who was issued a visa that is less than 90 days, so if you are North American/British/Italian….. it won’t work for you, sorry.
While looking for some additional, I found where it states that you can only apply for an extension, before you enter Costa Rica or if you are unable to travel you must have proof from a doctor.
According to Immigration office in Liberia it can be done, you apply to Departmento de Migration 15 days before your visa is due to expire. Since these things seem to change depending upon who you are talking to – I would double check.
according to AM Costa Rica, this is not possible unless you have a medical reason for not leaving and having to stay longer.
Nothing has changed, same as what I posted above.
