    I am planning to move to Costa Rica later this spring and would welcome any information and recommendations where to buy a nice riding horse, where to board and the cost. Also what is the average price (US $) for a nice saddle.

    I live in San Ramon, for 3 years now, when I came to CR I was not ¨a horse person¨ now I have 7 and one on the way. There are horses of all shapes and sizes and prices. It is easy to get a $200 easy riding horse. or 600 – 1000 for paso finos. it is about $45 to board a horse or if you have a little space they mow your lawn for you. This place is crazy about horses Topes and Cabalogatos. What are you looking for I´ll be happy to help.

    Hi Jim,

    Thank you so very much for the “horse” info – it made my day!! I will be in San Ramon on 2/26 and visiting the area until 3/7. I am going to be looking for a little place to rent and hope to be moving to the area in the near future. Perhaps I can stop by to meet you and visit the horses?
