Can anyone tell me what the average percent commission charge your real estate agent should be charging you when selling raw acreage. Thank you.
VM
As the owner, it’s really up to you to negotiate the commission with the Realtor…
Typically Realtors will charge 5-10% of the sales price to sell a property for you.
5% is the standard sales commission but will rise to 10% when the property is in the middle of nowhere and the Realtor has to spend half a day taking the clint to see it and half a day getting back…
I’m of the opinion that if your Realtor is willing to do more than the ‘average’ Realtor like getting professional photos and videos done of a property then he/she deserves more than the ‘average’ commission.
Some of our Recommended Realtors have sent me really bad photos of properties once in a while but after they receive my email that says:
“Did you take these photographs with your calculator?”
They normally get the hint and don’t send me any more of those…
Hope that helps.
