Hi,
We are looking for a reliable shipper from the west coast of US to Costa Rica.
Can you please pass on information of companies you have had good experiences with?I contacted one shipping company through this site, but due to the very short time frame until we are leaving (next week!) I’m looking for one or two more companies to contact so I can make sure we get our stuff with us.
We are looking at either shipping just a car or also ship around 30 boxes and a bed.
Thanks!!

Good Luck

JimNovember 11, 2008 at 6:17 pm #193102DavidRushtonMemberSo – can anyone tell me how to contact Barry Wilson? I had an email address for him and a phone number. The email address comes back as a failure and the phone is answered by a message curtly saying. “Leave a message” in a decidedly uninterested mumble. So I have no way of telling if that’s his number or not.

It has been resolved now and the webpage at http://www.shipcostarica.com is working (with the email link there) as well as any of the “@shipcostarica.com” email addresses. Another great way to get in touch in read the article(s) we’ve published here on WLCR. There’s always a link at the bottom of those articles.

I did finally reach Barry and we talked on the phone. Sorry your website broke down. They are so important. But one more little tip. I frequently do not leave a message on a voicemail that says “Leave a Message.” You never know who you are leaving a message for. It could be a voicemail for someone really weird that you don’t want to hear back from. A simple statement “This is Barry, please leave a message.” would save this dilema. Or as Scott and I used to hear in Britain “This is Whitehall 1212. Please leave a message.” And for you non-Brits I should explain that Witehall 1212 was the number for Scotland Yard and that was an inside joke.
November 17, 2008 at 12:24 pm #193105josuemaderaMemberHey guys…Is the shipcostarica site down again, I’m still getting a message failure?
November 17, 2008 at 3:37 pm #193106ardenbrinkMemberHi — Arden Brink here again. The site is working and theoretically the email should be working fine, too. But I will admit that when *I* test it, I get varied results. So I’m working to chase it down with our website guy. In the meantime, please note that we’re always reachable through shipping@welovecostarica.com and with the phone numbers 22.32.57.24 in CR and 843.278.5573 from the U.S. Sorry for the communications challenges! 😉
November 17, 2008 at 3:39 pm #193107ardenbrinkMemberAlso, David Rushton, thanks for the suggestion on the outgoing phone message. I’ve asked Barry to change those! Excellent idea.
