Can anyone advise whether it is possible to obtain remote control blinds in CR. And if so, the positive and negative aspects of owning them. Having just purchased a two story home, with high ceilings and several high windows, the currently installed normal blinds have long cords for opening and closing the blinds, hanging several feet. We also have several ceiling fans, also, with the long cords. We can purchase remote control ceiling fans here in the U.S., would it be possible to also purchase remote ceiling fans in CR? Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
Our experience, here in the Central Valley, is that this is a dusty place. Motorized blinds would be just one more place for dirt to accumulate and gum up the works, in my humble opinion.
In North Carolina, we had remote controlled ceiling fans sold in the U.S. at Home Depot. They were very high efficiency. If you’re bringing a container, it might be well to check ’em out.
While I can’t supply the answer to where they may be available here, I will say that just cleaning regular venetian blinds here is a ongoing task….and one that I face today 👿
Thanks everyone, I had not considered the dirt and dust aspects. My solution may be to have them shipped to CR, and, have them cleaned on a regular basis, along with the rest of my home. The current cords hanging everywhere really detract from the natural beauty of the home.
